Don’t be a victim of the common iPod repairs
Many of these repairs are mainly due to the normal life of the product, but some can be avoided by thinking ahead and taking precautions.
Sometimes repairs are inevitable, because of the small size of your iPod and its fragile nature.
Cracked or Damaged LCD Screen – The iPod can be easily dropped. This can cause scratches or even some major damage to the lcd screen and the case.
Water Damage – iPods can’t swim, and are also not waterproof so any contact with water your iPod is likely to stop functioning.
Dirt & Dust – During its normal use, some dust and dirt could get into the iPod so it should be cleaned regularly.
Extreme conditions – Like any electronic product, extreme weather conditions, like cold, hot or damp weather could also harm your iPod. An iPod that sits in the sun all day is likely to get spots on the screen or worse as the player can overheat.
Battery Life – Over time the battery gets exhausted and won’t last as long as it used to. When this happens it will need to be replaced.
Memory or drive errors – The hard drive or memory could get broken by dropping the product or sometimes it’ll just stop working overtime.
Headphone problems – The headphones sockets endure pressure and sometimes because of continuous use they can get damaged too. Sometimes just the left or right channel can stop working, sometimes it’s both. If this happens it is a must to repair or you won’t be able to listen to your music.
