2012 The World End
Global warming, earthquakes and tsunamis predicted make the world end in 2012. Prediction had been around since time of the Mayans. Is it true?
Start from incident that shock our logical way of thinking is the mass suicide of the Mayans, because it is mentioned that life of this world will be destroyed in 2012.
India research scientist, Dr Satnam Tsurutani (Jimi Mistry) found that the core of the earth continues to heat up. Satnam invite his friends and American scientists, Dr Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), to come to see his research.
At that time, the world will be hit by major disasters and chaos happening everywhere which resulted in destruction of the human race. Curtis Jackson (John Cusack) who feels confident that the predictions will happen trying hard to prevent human race extinction.
Armed with his knowledge about the ancient prophecy, the writer who is also a researcher then try to find ways to open a portal between dimensions to meet ‘his other’ in other dimension. Jackson believes that through the boundaries of this parallel world is the only way to prevent the disaster that has been predicted by the Maya.
Jackson Curtis, came to his ex-wife house, Kate Curtis (Amanda Peet) to pick up their children, Noah and Lily to go to camping at Yellowstone.
Arriving at the campsite Yellowstone, Jackson wanted to show the lake where the family used to camp when he had not divorced. Jackson and her two sons burst into the lake and they found that the lake disappeared due to global warming process.
In Yellowstone, Jackson met Charlie Frost (Woody Harrelson), a community radio broadcaster. Thanks to Charlie, Jackson knew that the earth is threatened destroyed. Jackson was given a leak by Charlie, there is a map containing aircraft manufacturing that can save mankind from earth destruction.
Tension has emerged when one by one the continent has sunk and conflicts between individuals seen between ratio and logic met, a true leader with the people who have wealth.
Picture of how great and terrible the earth doom is not stop there. Adrian who is located in the plane to China witnessed from the evacuation monitors that display a large 9 richter scale earthquake hit many parts of the earth and followed by a tsunami everywhere.
In fact, the Pacific plate collapse. South Pole shifted thousands miles away. The Himalayas are also changed, no longer the world’s highest peak. Himalayan position replaced by Cape of Good Hope in Africa.
The problem is Jackson and Adrian had to do it before December 12, 2012 because on Mayan calendar there is no date after December 12, 2012. Could Jackson’s mission succeeded???
